“I straddled a gate and caught the gate with my (ski) tip and hyperextended my knee,” Kildow said Friday. “I have a partially torn ACL. It’s only a Grade I, so it’s not season-ending, but right now I’m not racing until it heals.” Kildow missed Friday’s slalom and will sit out the team event that concludes the championships Sunday. She said she would also miss the first World Cup races after the worlds in Sierra Nevada, Spain on Feb. 24-25 and aims to return in Tarvisio, Italy on March 2-4. 160Want local news?Sign up for the Localist and stay informed Something went wrong.
